Use instructions   

If you want to use the stone on larger surfaces (horses, large dogs or carpets and the like), you can use it in its full size. Do you want the stone to fit in the palm of your hand? Then it can be cut with a comb or knife into a smaller piece to better fit the palm of your hand. Once the stripping stone is cut and ready to use, it’s time to start grooming. 

Take the stone in your dominant hand and with the thumb of your other hand, hold the skin tightly. Then with a gentle movement and without using too much pressure, comb in the direction of the coat growth using the stripping stone in order to remove the undercoat. This is a first way to use the Groom Stone. 

There’s also another way. Hold the stone in the palm of your hand and while making a combing movement on the coat, put pressure on your thumb and other fingers in order to grip and trap the hairs between your fingers and the stone. You can make it easier by lifting a few hairs from the coat with your other hand. With your fingers or a brush, you get to better see where to pull. Repeat until the desired length is achieved. If you want to make it more comfortable for the dog, we recommend using your free hand to slightly tighten the skin just above the area where you want to pull hairs.
