Aesculap Blade GT754D DLC Coating - 3 mm

When you want to clip your dog’s hairs at a longer length, not only your clipper needs to be in tiptop condition, its blade as well. In a way, you can compare clipping with the mowing of grass. The longer the grass, the harder it is to mow off. It is therefore of the utmost importance to be able to work and glide easily through a long, thick or tangled dog coat.  

To make your grooming experience more comfortable and a lot easier, Aesculap has developed the DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) blade. This high-quality carbon steel treatment of the lower of the 2 blades ensures that: 

- there is less heat produced. 

- the bottom part will not rust. The upper and bottom part of the blade can never rust together, even if you put away the clipper blade without having treated it with oil first. 

- your blade stays sharp way longer. No need to sharpen as much as before, and only the upper blade needs to be sharpened.  

Do you have the feeling the blades are performing less well? Each blade has its own tension adjustment screw. Instead of immediately sending the blades off to be sharpened, you can first tighten the tension screw and thus, continue clipping. This can be done 3 or 4 times and definitely prolongs the life of your blades. When adjusted correctly, the blade will not get stuck so quickly. Maintenance will be a lot more economical and grooming will become much smoother!

Use instructions 

These blades can only be used on the Aesculap Favorita 2 Corded Clipper, the Aesculap Favorita 2 CL Cordless Clipper and the Aesculap Favorita 2 Pink Corded Clipper. 

Of course, to keep the blades sharp for longer, to prevent undue strain on your clipper and to avoid discomfort for the dog (due to heat and pulling on the hairs), we recommend you regularly use oil and not only cooling spray, and blade cleaners. 2 drops every 10 minutes suffice.
