The Show Tech Finger Condoms are perfect for hand stripping show dogs, in situations where every hair is important and when the coat must be hand-stripped from root to tip without damaging or cutting the coat.

These finger condoms are also great if the coat has been clipped or stripped with a sharp stripping knife, because they help to pull out entire hairs from root to tip so that the coat can recover. By pulling out a few soft hairs, there will be space once more in the follicle to produce more hairs. This makes your dog’s coat rough and wiry again!

Use instructions

First, choose the correct size.

Just slide your thumb and index finger in the finger condoms and make a tweezer with the point of your index finger and thumb. With your other hand, lift a few hairs from the coat with the help of your fingers or a brush. Now you can clearly see the hair points standing up. Hold your hand just above where you lifted the hairs and grip the skin gently. Firmly grip the points between your thumb and index finger and pull in the direction of the hair growth. Only hand strip a few hairs at a time. 

In severely damaged coat cases or for even more grip, we recommend you combine the Show Tech Finger (cots) Condoms with the Show Tech English Grooming Chalk, the Show Tech English Chalk Block Round Super White or the Show Tech + Texture-IT Powder.

Note: Stripping should not hurt the dog. If the hairs are ripe and ready to come out, you’re basically just pulling out dead hair, which should go easily.
