At Transgroom, we always want to offer you the right solution. That’s why our team consists of experts, people with many years of experience and a passion for their work. We aim to provide the right support for all your questions and needs. One of the many services we offer is our own sharpening service. In this blog post, we will explain what it entails and why you are in the best hands with us.

Time to sharpen it up!

We always sharpen scissors and clipper blades according to a well-defined and thorough process. First, the scissors or blades are disassembled by Rik, our service manager. Then he inspects the surface to determine the appropriate technique required and also the angle and amount of sharpening to be applied. This depends on the type of scissor or blade. Once this has been examined, it is time to start sharpening! This should be done in a very precise and patient manner. You can almost compare it to what a surgeon does. One wrong move and it can be ruined. When you let us sharpen your scissoring or clipping tools, however, you can be sure that this will be done with the utmost professionalism. After the parts of the scissors or clipper blade have been sharpened, they are polished, oiled and reassembled. But then it is not over yet! The final phase of the sharpening process consists of testing the material. Our service manager always does this with a comprehensive and meticulous method. This way, you as a customer have the guarantee that your grooming material has been thoroughly treated and checked. Would you like more details? Then go check out our service page.

Japan is known for its excellently sharp and top-quality knives and scissors. Just like the Japanese mentality, our in-house sharpener his working method also exudes perfectionism, patience, punctuality, drive and respect. He works in a particular way and with unique sharpening equipmentThe essence, according to him, is to treat the shears and blades with the utmost respect.
